Assistant Professor of Medicine, Department of Surgery
Research Associate, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center
Co-PI Feihe Nutrition Laboratory and Center for the Study of Nutrition Medicine (Dept of Surgery/BIDMC)
After more than 30 years, I suspended my clinical practice in gastroenterology in October 2019 to launch a new career in the Department of Surgery. My mission was to pursue and enhance my interest in nutrition research and education, and sustain the legacy of my late husband, George L. Blackburn, MD, PhD. I now serve as the co-principal investigator of the Feihe Nutrition Laboratory and the Center for the Study of Nutrition Medicine. In these roles, I oversee ongoing clinical trials and provide staff support. My background in GI and Nutrition makes me well-equipped for this work.
