Katherine Bell, MD is a neonatologist in the Department of Pediatrics at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Her clinical research focuses on the role of infant nutritional exposures on short- and long-term health outcomes including growth, neurodevelopment and cardiometabolic health. Her work has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the American Academy of Pediatrics and other nutrition-focused foundations. Her current research interests include utilizing novel monitoring strategies such as body composition to assess nutritional status and optimize nutritional care for preterm infants with the goal of promoting optimal growth and long-term health outcomes.
