Allison Wu

Instructor, Department of Pediatrics

Attending Physician, Boston Children's Hospital

I am a clinician investigator focused on pediatric obesity and nutrition epidemiology and health services research. I plan to apply for a K23 Mentored Patient-Oriented Research Career Development Award application within the next 1-2 years. I am open to collaboration, networking, and mentorship opportunities (both as mentee and mentor).

My research in clinical epidemiology has investigated early childhood dietary predictors of abdominal adiposity as well as the association of abdominal adiposity with cardiometabolic health in early adolescence. I am further dedicated to addressing health equity by examining social disparities in childhood obesity and nutrition, which has been the focus of my research in the Harvard-wide Pediatric Health Services Research Fellowship. I ultimately hope to translate these findings into the development of equitable obesity and nutrition policies, interventions, and care.
