Barbara M. Ainsley is a Dietetic Technician, Registered with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, she is a graduate of Laboure College. Barbara is currently an administrative associate and clinical research assistant II at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in the Department of Surgery/Surgical Research.  She worked on the Look AHEAD trial and Ecological Momentary Assessment of Behavioral and Psychosocial Predictors of Weight Loss Following Bariatric Surgery. Earlier in her career she was a Dietetic Technician on the Nutrition Support Service under the direction of Dr. Bruce Bistrian and the late Dr. George L. Blackburn. She also provided administrative support to several HMS CME programs that Dr. Blackburn directed.

Barbara has provided administrative support to the Division of Nutrition at HMS for the past several years; primarily organizing Longwood Nutrition Seminars and the Nutrition Curriculum Subcommittee
